The Story
As a marine scientist who had witnessed first-hand the harm caused by plastic ghost nets polluting shorelines worldwide, Waterhaul founder Harry Dennis envisioned a way of transforming these harmful plastics into something valuable.
The abundance of this material, paired with its strength and durability, offered solid features for recycling into traceable, reusable products. After spent years working with ghost nets, testing and prototyping, Waterfall was founded in 2018.
Why we got involved
We were inspired by Waterfall’s mission to contribute towards a cleaner marine ecosystem and simultaneously transforming harmful waste into reusable resource. It soon became clear their ambitions were much bigger than eyewear. We saw potential for their mission to be pushed even further, and were eager to be a partner to help maximise their impact on the planet.
How we’re helping
We are working with the Waterhaul team to expand their range of products beyond eyewear and collection gear, building strategic partnerships and helping them re-engineer their business model to unlock their potential and scale their impact.
