The story

Over 50% of period products end up in landfill, generating over 200,000 tonnes of waste every year in the UK alone where they take up to 500 years to degrade. 30% are flushed, generating 3.4 tonnes of micro plastics, most of which end up in our waterways.

Founders Liv and Aaron, proper scientists, got together when at Imperial College and began to develop the technology to solve this problem by making flushable period products.

Working alongside the Water Research Centre, the product received a WIS 4-02-06 flushability certificate in 2019, making Fluus the World’s first fully flushable period pad.

In January 2023, the mass market product was ready and we launched it to consumers. Thank FLUSH for that!

Why we got involved

We have always loved truly disruptive products that promote sustainablity and eliminate waste, especially if they make consumers lives better too - by giving people permission to flush. So we love Fluus.

The partnership with the Fluus team is a perfect match - their engineering and manufacturing expertise alongside our understanding of brands, consumers and how to connect them.

How we’re helping

The product is truly a breakthrough, but the team needed a compelling consumer proposition, a brand that delivered this and the strategic and creative muscle to make the brand succeed once launched.

We have re-engineered the brand architecture for the whole business, making it future proof as it develops products in different categories.

Working alongside a full Mother team - comms strategy, creative and Design - we created Fluus - from name to brand positioning, identity to communication platform.

We then executed this across all consumer touch points - packaging, website, communication and customer service and we’re now working with the Fluus team to deliver a launch plan that lives up to the product.

We continue to support the founders with long term strategy for the business and marketing and creative for the brand.
