Celebrating Nuud's Dragons' Den Pitch and subsequent Investment
We’re proud to share that Keir Carnie, founder of Nuud, the innovative, plastic-free chewing gum brand, recently showcased his product on BBC's Dragons' Den. Keir sought a £50,000 investment for a 10% stake in his company, aiming to revolutionise the chewing gum industry with a sustainable alternative.
While the Dragons ultimately did not invest, they offered valuable feedback, acknowledging the market potential for Nuud's product. Sara Davies was enthusiastic about the brand and mission: "Nuud is a brilliant product, there’s clearly a need for it."
Following the appearance on Dragons' Den, Nuud secured a significant £750,000 investment led by Jamie Laing and Ed Williams, founders of Candy Kittens. This investment, facilitated through their venture Tuckshop London, underscores the growing recognition of Nuud's mission to provide an eco-friendly alternative to traditional chewing gum.
At Broody, we’re excited to see where this new chapter takes Nuud. Their commitment to sustainability and creating a product that stands out in the marketplace is something we fully support. We look forward to watching their growth as they continue to make an impact.
